The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph Barish can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Danette McCrary
Condolence: My best girlfriend, Cherye, owner of Grillers in Sweetwater, TN, hired Tom to Work for her in this Restaurant. I lived in Knoxville at the Time playing Piano. Cherye called me up and Said, " Hey Danette. . Got to come down here. I've arranged a Blind Date for you. I'm not One for Blind Dates.. So I drove down to Grillers and walked inside. In there was Cherye waiting for Me. She escorted me down a flight of Stairs and into the Bar Area. I was Guided to a Semi - Dark booth where I was Introduced to Tom Barish. My first impression of Tom was that he was an Intelligent Gentleman. Found out that we Both were New Age people. We were Sitting in that Booth talking up a storm. At that point, Tom brought out his Computer. Checked out my Full Astrological Chart. He was really someone I wanted to get to know..
Tom was a Smart Communicator. We used to Sit and Visit. . I learned that he liked Fish Sauce on a lot of food! ! ( for me. .pretty Gross )..
But the one Thing that Tom did for My Life was 'To Touch Base'. For Years and years and years, There would be a Surprise Text from Tom. He usually had a Short message asking how Life was Treating Me. . He had no clue where I even lived or what kind of Relationship I was in. Tom Always took the Time to keep his Friends as Close as he Could.
Lighting a Prayer Candle for Tom the Spirit. Blessed Be, my Friend! ! :-)

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear the news about Tom. We met as freshmen in high school, and he became the big brother I never had, the best friend who always had my back and could always be trusted with my confidences. We saw each other through some rough times, and although we had fallen out of touch in recent years, he never left my heart. I will always remember the fun times we had, and the many laughs we shared at the (often times wild) speculation about the nature of our relationship. He was my best friend, in the truest sense of the word, and I will miss him.
