Obituary for Michael Muir

Michael Eugene “Mike” Muir, age 56, of Ten Mile, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Roane Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1961 in South Pittsburg, TN to the late Gordon Lee and Mary Lou Muir. Mike married the love of his life a little over 38 years ago and together they had two sons, Michael and Brandon. He was a long-time member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and attended as his health permitted. Mike worked as a heavy equipment operator for over twenty years at the Ten Mile Rock Quarry and also helped with various tasks at the Twin Eagle Ranch. He loved antique cars and fixing up old Harley’s. He also enjoyed fishing, working on his tractor and just being outdoors. However, his greatest love in life was spending time with his family, especially his new grand-daughter, Avery. Preceded in death by his parents, Gordon “Hop” and Mary Lou Muir; sister, Sherry Muir and brother, Kenneth Muir.
