Obituary for William James "Bill" Walters

William (Bill) James Walters, age 74, of Oak Ridge, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born October 30, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. He had worked for 26 years as a Machinist in Michigan, retiring to Florida to a second career where he was a patient transporter. Bill loved Tennessee and moved to Roane County where he and his wife have made their home for the past ten years. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Alfonso & Anna Brown Glennie Walters.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1:00 pm, Monday, April 2, 2018 at Fraker Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00 pm, in the chapel with Rev. Nick Hill officiating. Private entombment will be held 2:30 pm, Monday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family ask for memorial donations to be given to COPC of Harriman (Courts of Praise Church), 215 Maple Street, Harriman, Tennessee 37748.
