Cliff Wallace Obituary

James Clifford (Cliff) Wallace, age 85, passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2024 in Kingston, Tennessee.

Cliff was born in Kingston, September 7, 1938, the son of Billie Wallace and Wilma Lee Robinson.  He moved to Illinois in the late 50's where he met his first wife Laura Lie Shipley. They lived in the suburbs of Chicago where they raised their children.

He worked as an electrician for the Tennessee Valley Authority and later for The Department of Navy at the Great Lakes and Glenview Naval Stations in Illinois. Cliff retired in September 1995 and moved back to Tennessee. A few years after retiring he started driving a school bus for Roane County.

He lost his first wife, Laura after 43 years of marriage on March 13, 2000.  He met Mary Nell Pekar and they were married in October, 2000. They were married for 23 years until her passing September 22, 2023.

Cliff enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends, throwing pool parties and helping anyone that needed it.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Lie Wallace (Shipley); second wife, Mary Nell Pekar Wallace; grandson, Rodney Wallace; granddaughter, Nicole Wallace; and step-son, Mark Pekar.

Cliff is survived by his sister, Linda; brothers, Melvin and Terry; 6 children, Thomas (Debra), Debra, Robert (Vicki), Timothy (Anne), James Mathew (Kim) and Tina (Rich); 4 step-children, Sally (Steve), Rose, Rachel (Cameron) and Vickie; grandchildren, Micheal, Michelle, Christopher Ryan,  Bradley, Joshua, Heather, Christopher, Samantha and Sarah; step-grandchildren, Baylee, Dylan, Tyler, Seth, Jaydlyn; and 14 great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Fraker Funeral Home, 1445 Kingston Hwy, Kingston, TN 37763. An urn burial will follow the service at Paint Rock Baptist Cemetery, 1510 Loudon Hwy, Philadelphia, TN 37846.  Online register book can be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net.  Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston, TN is in charge of local arrangements.
